World marriage brokers' day was introduced by jose chalakkal, managing director of SIDHOORAM MARRIAGE BUREUA palakkad and announced by social worker n.g.jhonzsonn in order to promote the marriage alliance through brokers other than online matrimonies and inculcate awareness about trustworthy brokers who are arranging genuine alliances with better understanding with both families. The first world marriage brokers' day was celebrated on 18th august 2018 in connection with the 20th anniversary of sindhooram marriage beruea, palakkad. 

 

''In a situation where many online marriages are falling apart, brokers and marriage bureaus who collect information from both parties and establish suitable family relationships are to be commended. It is necessary to honor them and declare a day for them in today's social situation'' Social Worker N. G. jhonzsonn commented. he was speaking while inaugurating the 20th anniversary of Sindooram Marriage Bureau and announcing World Marriage Brokers Day.

Jose Chalakkal, the chairman of Snehanandam Group, presided over the ceremony. Short film director Ajeesh Mundoor, Managing Director of Art-Effusions Global Lily Vazhayil and Sindooram Marriage Bureau Manager Girija Mani spoke in the function. Lilly vazhayil sang a flood-themed poem 'Azhal' composed by her.

The meeting condoled the death of former Prime Minister Vajpayee.
